We're Back Baby!

We are unbelievably excited to re-open the gates to Escape to Freight Island and have an incredible lineup in February and March! Hold onto your seats people…

Before we begin, kickin' it all off we have the huge Music of Manchester Weekender on the 29th + 30th of January. We've curated a lineup of your favourite legendary local DJs including Dave Haslam, Clint Boon, The Unabombers and more. To mark the occasion we've concocted the special 'Salford Sling' cocktail made with Beefeater Pink Gin, Havana 3 Rum, Apricot Brandy, Pineapple Juice, Supasawa, Vegan Foam and Vimto syrup. Yes, you heard us right, Vimto! The beloved Choo Choo will also be serving up a new special, the 'Manchester Tart eclair' - choux pastry filled with banana custard and salted caramel, with a white chocolate & coconut glaze and a glacier cherry. Delicious.

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and for all the romantics we have Perfectly Frank in the Plant Room on Sunday 13th February from 6:30pm where you can treat your loved one to an evening of live music plus a welcome cocktail, two course candlelit meal from Baratxuri and a carafe of wine. Or if you fancy showing off your inner creative talent then come and practice your brush strokes with Cork & Canvas on the Terrace for a fun filled evening of portraiture painting, perfect for mates and dates.

The Guinness Six Nations Championship is taking over the Mezzanine from Saturday 5th February until Saturday 19th March. Grab your mates, book your tickets and enjoy some Guinness whilst you watch the matches. Head to the ‘6 Nations’ tab on the top of our website for the fixtures.

Now let’s delve into our amazing weekday entertainment - every Wednesday we have unmissable live performances on the Platform from King Brasstards, Mali Hayes, Colectiva, Tom Seals plus we’re delighted to be welcoming back The Untold Orchestra for renditions of Fleetwood Mac and Motown.

Thursday nights showcase the best local DJs: Hannah O'Gorman, Dr. Jive, Me Gusta, Lena C and more from Reform Radio. The Comedy Store takes over the Plant Room for a weekly residency feat. Comedy Store favourites and a few famous faces to boot!

Start your weekend off right and join Homobloc DJ Will Tramp for TRAMP SOUND SYSTEM in the Ticket Hall every Friday post 9pm. Danuka provides the tunes 7pm-9pm inside and then takes over the Plant Room from 9pm.

On Saturdays we create magic moments after 9pm with The Feel Good Choir, Norman Jay MBE, Girls On Film and MASSAOKE. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!

The legendary Craig Charles returns bringing his Funk & Soul Show to Escape to Freight Island on Sunday 20th Feb! Sit tight for more show stopping Sunday event announcements but expect festi vibes.
